Teacher with Pupils

I don’t know where to begin to thank Farhiya for all her hard work! I have never met someone with such patience and perseverance. A solid hour I vividly remember to coax my little boy into saying his first word ‘blue’. Causing huge applause and a party atmosphere I will always remember. That was the start of his journey to speech.
My little boy wasn’t saying a word at the age of 3 yet with Farhiyas’ help and guidance within a year he was expressing himself with words.
One of the most helpful things I found too was educating us, the parents. One physical session a week and we had enough homework to practise what she had taught. And it made such a difference! Without Farhiyas’ help we would have floundered along panicking and trying bits and pieces instead of having a solid program tailored exactly to our little boys needs. Our feedback was always noted and discussed and any difficulties were met with different approaches to reach our goals.
Farhiya was continually assessing the level he had reached and adding to strengthen his ability. Through extreme kindness and fun, yet knowing when to be firm and set boundaries Farhiya became a great friend and confidant to us all and my little boy changed from total reluctance to attend, to genuinely wanting to go to see Farhiya, both at sessions and online during COVID times. So any work set by his friend during the week he looked forward to and paid great attention to.
Through play and knowing his likes and dislikes Fahriya tempted words and now sentences from our once wordless little boy and for that we will be forever grateful.
We just can’t thank her enough.
